During the spring months of April/May, you can fish for Striped Bass on the Hudson River and be docked at Albany Yacht Club for a fixed fee. Every springtime, massive striped bass from the ocean travel approximately 168 miles up the Hudson River to offspring, stopping at the federal dam in Troy, NY. The fishing season for these enormous fish starts on April 1, and peaks usually around the end of April and continues past Memorial Day.
