Thank you for your interest in applying for membership to the Albany Yacht Club. Our history is rich and full, beginning in 1873.
The Albany Yacht Club promotes safe and enjoyable boating while serving as a steward to New York’s inland waterways. The club promotes fellowship and inclusiveness among our members, their families and guests, the Mohawk-Hudson Yacht Council, and other boating organizations. We maintain a high standard of excellence in our operations and facilities to safeguard the Club’s legacy for future generations.
- Proposed applicant must complete and submit the application.
- All fields on the application form are mandatory. If any field is not applicable please type "none" or "NA"
- Proposed applicant must have two members as sponsors. The sponsors must complete and sign the Sponsor for Membership sponsor page.
- Proposed applicant will have an interview with the Membership committee.
- After membership approval, the application will be presented and read at the next monthly general membership meeting . (1st reading)
- The application will then be posted for one month for all members/officers/board members to peruse and either accept or decline.
- The application will be presented and read at the next monthly general membership meeting to be voted on. (2nd reading)
- Once approved, the applicant will be notified and sworn in at the next monthly general membership meeting
During the application process, this application will be presented to the Flag Officers and Board of Governors of Albany Yacht Club.
