Mariners are advised that water levels on the Erie Canal will be reduced between 6 inches and 1 foot on the Genesee River, between the Court Street Dam and the Canal crossing, and between Erie Canal Lock E-33 in Henrietta and Lock E-34 in Lockport due to short-term police activity in downtown Rochester. Lower water levels will be in place from this evening, June 4th until further notice. Updates will follow.
