Mariners are advised that the Canal Corporation will begin to lower the water level in the Canal from Champlain Canal Lock C-9 in Smith’s Basin to Lock C-11 in Comstock approximately 1 foot lower than normal on the morning of Thursday, June 12th, for flashboard installation on the dam at Lock C-11. This lower water level may affect boats and docks on this area of the Champlain Canal and should return to normal by the afternoon of Friday, June 13th.
